Note: 5754
is an alloy which spontaneously softens after rolling until it reaches
a stable condition. Where necessary this process is accelerated
by means of a stabilising anneal, whereby the stable condition is
achieved before shipment The F tempers are stabilised after strain
hardening; the G tempers are partially annealed.
Modulus of Elasticity:
69,000 MPa
Bend Radii: Minimum
recommended internal bend radii for 90º cold bends at right angle
to the rolling direction.

Welding:
5754 is readily welded by the TIG and MIG processes using 5356 filler
alloy. Welding 5754 in the F or G tempers will reduce the tensile
and yield strengths in the heat-affected zone to those of the annealed
condition.
5754 may also be gas
welded or resistance welded, but the resulting joints are not as
strong or as corrosion resistant as the inert gas welded joints.
It is essential that all traces of welding flux are removed by scrubbing
with hot water upon completion.
Annealing: 350ºC
± 5ºC, until all parts have reached the annealing temperature.
Weight Calculation:
Weight per square metre
in kilogrammes: 2.68 x thickness in mm.
