Three Bahraini companies’ leaders of the aluminium industry won Meed award in the 6^th Middle East Aluminium Conference which was organised from 5 to 7 March 2012 in Dubai UAE. The 3 winning companies were GARMCO- CEO - Dr. Adel Hamad, BALEXCO - CEO - Mr. Jassim Seyadi and Midal Cables – Chairma -  Mr. Hamad Zayani.

Following an invitation extended to the pioneering industries in the aluminum filed in Kingdom of Bahrain the 3 leaders shared their experiences and expertise with audience and participants of the conference. Dr. Al-Hamad said GARMCO is keen to take part in such aluminum conferences held around the world to keep abreast with developments in the sector as well as present technical papers on this industry.

The conference, he added, also gave delegates the opportunity for experts from the industry to meet and discuss the latest developments in aluminium downstream industries.

Dr. Al-Hamad praised the organisation of the event, saying it provided a venue for the exchange of ideas and developing relations between participants from around the world.

At the end of the Conference, Mr. Edmund O’ Sullivan, Chairman MEED Events honored the three pioneers of Aluminium in the Middle East.
